4 days only!?
catch ups in newtown unveiled some pleasant surprises in the form of quaint shops. I spent the arvo helping L make his lil room a home and was rewarded with a quiet evening meeting his date over jap takeaways and pinot. if you don't already know, never start your nights with vino. armed with my new pinafore, the rad night started early at SUPERSTUDIO. I have never seen so many interesting looking people in one place. and by interesting i mean not ugly, they all had lovely shoes albeit the inevitable dirt. half of the community left in a staggered manner but somehow reunited at hungry jacks, drawing close to 4, there really weren't many choices.

3 hours after i got into bed, i got shocked awake by Al who called to say they would be slightly late. I jumped up, showered, packed my gear and was out of the house in 15. it must have been a record cos i even managed to slap on sunscreen and munch on a slice of seed+grain. my body was so asleep until we got to the water where we were meant to train. row, pant and come to terms with twiggy arms... i must say i did alot better than i expected. nasi lemak lunch was an added bonus.
my body was so sore and, yet again, unprepared for the physical work that i signed up for. there was an toolbox meeting, 7 hours behind a half faced respirator/goggles/ipod/apron, rain when i knocked off, amongst other things. at this point my limbs do not feel like they are part of my body.
today went much better, a fire drill, a biometric time clock, movie night with 'total recall'... and limbs that still haven't returned. i cannot believe it has only been four days.
bring it on!
