All in the details

birthdays.
ive met people who celebrate it by...
booking chalets. (complete with key shaped cake from the neighbourhood bakery)
expecting diamond as gifts
holding a barbeque.
booking hotels.
getting drunk.
cake/face smashing (not yet and no)

what is it. whats is it about the coveted 21. why is it a reason to embarass yourself or anyone else at all? apart from being a lil homesick, wanting ikan bilis nasi goreng, curry with roti, and indian rojak, i'm ok, i really am.

21 is about the small prints.
no more hiding behind the facade of a child.
responsibility.
more responsibility.

im celebrating with my nice bowl of salad drenched in sesame dressing. reminiscing last years surprise, a slice of cake from secret recipe. its like, not the most fantastic tasting cake, but i guess the ambience and everything played it up.

that thought just made me sick. im gonna return to my frantic house packing. a reason to give myself pats on the back in a couple of hours.

and oh deadlines.
hello! 21?
matters of consequence no?
