catch ups last week
the week began in the midst of chinese new year festivities, and was greeted by my with much enthusiasm because of the food involved. ok i typed a whole entry and photobucket decided to wipe it out. so, to the best of my abilities, in chronological order, i had fantastic italian food at pete's place, to die for squid ink linguine & all time fav mud pie at black angus, tempura perfection at inagiku, sneaked to chin mei chin for coffee, full hawker experience at old airport road (lion dance inclusive), and of course, can-never-go-wrong-for-bea crystal jade fare.
pictured above was my squid ink linguine and scallops, and simple cod perfection topped with capers. skinnypore is not so cashless afterall, apparently there were firework displays everyday of the 15 day chinese new year celebrations!
gave catch up with a terrific bunch a pass cos i was trying to protect my stomach. i wish the entries at some joints didnt force people to buy drinks, bad people! :(
the lack of photos is a result of a foreverhungrybea, and people whom she wasnt sure would be comfortable with all the food photo taking. everyone wanted to just dig in. i managed to sneak the couple above cos i was with my secondary school teacher, ever encouraging in all my strange and not so strange experimentations. love.
